New York Alternative Investment Roundtable announces management committee and officer changes

Wednesday, September 04, 2019
Opalesque Industry Update - The New York Alternative Investment Roundtable is proud to announce that Alessandra (Ali) Tocco has been named the organization's new president, as of September 1. As President, Tocco will continue to work with the current and outgoing president, Adam Weinstein, to transition all duties.

The Roundtable is also proud to announce that Kunjan Mehta, a partner in Grant Thornton's asset management practice, has been named vice president of the Roundtable.

Tocco, is a managing director at Good Hill Partners in Greenwich, CT. She brings a wealth of industry experience to the Roundtable, following 15 years at JP Morgan, where she was head of the firm's Global Hedge Fund Capital Advisory group. Prior to that, she oversaw the product development team within Morgan Stanley's managed funds division.

"I believe that Ali's depth of experience and knowledge will bring a great new perspective to the Roundtable, and I have already been impressed by some of her ideas and thoughts on new ways to inspire and continue to grow our membership," said Weinstein, who will remain a director of the Roundtable and continue to be actively involved with its leadership. "After almost four years as president, I felt it was time to bring a fresh perspective to Roundtable's day-to-day management. I have very much enjoyed my time as president of the Roundtable, I am very proud of the achievements we made and I look forward to the next chapter. And with Ali and Kunjan at the helm, I am confident that there are great things ahead."

Added Tim Selby, chairman of the Roundtable: "The Roundtable has benefited enormously from Adam's time as president. We are grateful for his leadership and excited that he will remain as a trusted advisor to the organization. And Ali is an industry veteran with enormous passion and creative ideas, so I truly believe that she is the best person to lead the Roundtable to new heights. I am excited to see how she builds on our prior successes and brings us to new heights."

Tocco is thrilled to be taking the helm of the Roundtable. "The New York Alternative Investment Roundtable is a fantastic organization committed to education and promoting best practices in the alternative investment community, and I am very excited to work with Kunjan Mehta in leading the organization's future initiatives," she said.
