Agilis appoints new Head of Trading

Wednesday, May 30, 2018
Opalesque Industry Update - Agilis Investment Management, the independent multi-asset fund manager, announces the appointment of Charles Crowson as a Partner and Head of Trading. The news comes as the firm approaches the first-year anniversary of its multi-strategy defensive-growth Fund.

In his new role, Charles will be responsible for trade execution and will contribute to idea generation.

Charles joins Agilis from hedge fund Mason Capital, where he headed up the London office for ten years overseeing trading of event-driven and special-situation strategies across equity, equity derivatives and fixed income.

Charles has more than 18 years' investment experience and has previously held senior trading roles at hedge funds Elgin Capital and Tisbury Capital.

Clark Fenton, Managing Partner & CIO, Agilis states: "Portfolio construction and trade expression are central to achieving defensive-growth outcomes and building an "all weather" portfolio in synch with the market cycle. Charles' extensive multi-asset and event-driven expertise will enable him to make an early contribution in both these areas.

"We have been very encouraged by the progress since the fund launch and the positive investor feedback. Charles's appointment represents a significant further investment in our capabilities."
